Frøslev Douglas fir comes from certified, European forestry. The trees can become up to 65 m tall and are therefore suitable for large dimensions, façades and solid planks for terrace boards, tables or shelves. The wood has a rich content of resin, turpentine and tannins which helps give the wood natural protection and long durability.

Frøslev Flamewood is wood with a surface that has been carbonised to a greater or lesser degree. It gives a beautiful and unique surface, and the wood is protected for many, many years. The treatment is inspired by the ancient Japanese burning tecchnique Shou Sugi Ban. The treatment gives the wood a deep black to shiny silver colour. The variant Naoshima is made of Douglas Fir.
