Lyreskovskolen consists of 3 age-adapted schools combined in one and is a new building that integrates the existing building. The new project was completed in 2015 and is a proud symbol of values such as community, respect, responsibility, openness and courage.

The façade is clad with galvanised steel and entrance areas marked with wooden strips in Frøslev Embla ThermoWood. ThermoWood is an interesting material as it is heat-treated with no use of toxins and harmful gases, so it remains nice and useful for a long time in the Danish weather. The profiles are specially made for the project in Padborg, and as can be seen in the pictures, the wood first has a beautiful, light colour which patinates over the years into a silver-grey shade.

Arkitema Architects Aarhus designed the new and improved Lyreskovskolen which creates a safe environment for the development of both students and employees.
