The Blue Room
In 2021, the Blue Room opened at the lake of Fuglsang Sø in Herning. The dream was to create a Mecca of outdoor activities and sustainable construction that could be used as a social gathering place and activity centre.
The result was two buildings and a bridge right on the lake with a sauna and a wealth of outdoor activities and equipment. The area is perfect for school classes or clubs needing a new environment to romp in and explore.
The entire construction is made with sustainability in mind. The wood from Frøslev Træ is ThermoWood, so the construction has excellent robustness, thus durability, and was built with sustainable materials with no toxic additives.
Working with architects Nova5 and Sweco Architects and engineers Sweco, NJ Rådgivende Ingeniører and ETOOS Ingeniører, Herning and Fuglsang Lake now boast a sustainable gathering place for everyone interested in beautiful nature and good construction.

Frøslev Embla ThermoWood has a warm, brown shade, and if you leave it untreated, it will get a beautiful, silver grey patination that gets even more beautiful over the years. Jørgen K. Johansen, Production Manager COO Frøslev
