Skibby day care centre, also called Børnehaven Savannen, consists of three day care centres under one roof and opened in 2019. There is room for play and learning both inside and in the beautiful outdoor areas, and as three day care centres are located together, plenty of space for the many children is also necessary.

The entire building is clad with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel Frøslev Embla ThermoWood in pine which is vertically mounted. The unpainted wood on the façade adds a natural look to the building, so the building is in harmony with the surrounding, green nature. It inspires children to explore outside as well as inside.

The place was designed by Nordic – Office and Architecture and executed by turnkey contractor Bang Nielsen A/S. The result was a huge day care centre offering space and opportunities to put children’s well-being and development first in the wonderful surroundings of Skibby
