This beautiful holiday home in Knebel was completed in 2016. Canadian cedar, which can be handled in different ways, is installed on the building. It can be left completely maintenance-free after which it will patinate beautifully into a silver-grey shade, or it can be treated with a pigmented façade oil to maintain the characteristic golden-brown colour for a longer period of time.

The result is a unique holiday home that draws on the materials and colours of nature while looking like a modern architectural building with a rustic and very unique look. Any patination will mean that the building will change character over the years, thus continue to surprise and give joy to its owners.

The building was designed by a private architect and built by a private building owner. The 200 m2 are clad with cedar on the outside to make the holiday home look like a natural addition to the surrounding area without compromising on the stylish design.
