Klimatorium

Klimatorium is an innovative climate centre located on the west coast of Denmark, more specifically in Lemvig. The centre was completed in 2020, and its purpose is to bring together civil society, authorities, companies and educational institutions to discuss lifestyle, prevention and adaptation to the climate challenges we are facing.

Klimatorium is a forum for knowledge sharing, education and climate adaptation projects. The beautiful building on Lemvig’s outer harbour was built with Frøslev Embla ThermoWood as a distinctive part of the façade. The light wave resembles the waves of the sea and the hull of the ships. Black-painted slats create a nice contrast to the soft, wavy shape.

Architect 3Xn designed the beautiful building. The project has won several awards. In 2020, it won the Construction of the Year in the category ”Commercial”, and in 2021, it won gold at the WAN Awards in the category "Civic - Community and Tourist Hubs and Event Sources".

Wood and profiles

Construction using wood requires knowledge. But knowledge doesn’t grow on trees. Frøslev has a deep and long tradition within wood. We therefore make our knowledge available.
