Fyrværkeriparken
Fyrværkeriparken is a climate-friendly and sustainable residential building in the western part of Kolding, more specifically in Seest, where the former fireworks factory was located. The area has been transformed into a residential area with 35 social family dwellings. It was completed in 2018.
With wood as the predominant material on façades and terraces, the dwellings beautifully blend into the surrounding nature reserve. The dwellings in the area are of various sizes, so families of all sizes and combinations were taken into consideration when designing the place.
Frøslev Embla ThermoWood of pine has been used on façades and on terraces, and architect DISSING+WEITLING architecture designed the brand-new, environmentally friendly residential area.
