When Bestseller was getting ready to build its new logistics centre at the E45 motorway in Haderslev, it was decided that the façade was to be clad with ThermoWood slats from Frøslev Træ. The result was the huge logistics centre which was completed in 2016 and now takes up 48,000 m2, supplying the clothing company’s stores throughout Europe.

At a scale this big, it is important that the look of the building is pleasant to the eye as many employees spend their working day at the logistics centre. Furthermore, it is hard to overlook the project in the landscape, and the decision to use ThermoWood slats on the façade was therefore taken to create a stylish and modern design for the giant company.

ThermoWood is a ground-breaking product that carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The wood is heat-treated using a process consisting of heat and steam, providing exceptional durability and dimensional stability. It is a proud proof that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand without compromising on quality and aesthetics.

Architect C.F. Møller designed the impressive logistics centre. The large windows make the otherwise somewhat intimidating building light and airy to spend time in, and the beautiful façade makes it a nice addition to the area.
