Abodo - Private villa
This beautiful villa from 2020 overlooks the Bay of Aarhus. Dark-burned bricks are combined with extensions made of wood. The result is a beautiful combination of the raw stones and the warm wood. The wooden façade is built of Frøslev ABODO and is completely knotless.
The wooden façade was built in the beginning of 2020, and the pictures were taken in September 2020. In June 2022, a photographer was sent to the villa, and the pictures clearly show that the tree has patinated into a beautiful, silver-grey shade with clear, wide wood grains.
ABODO is New Zealand pine from sustainable plantation forestry and is nearly knotless. However, wood is a living material, and a few knots may occur. The profiles are mounted horizontally, and they have a planed, paintcut surface for a marvellous play between the natural wood material and the dark bricks.

Abodo is the material of the future. It is beautiful, natural, quickly renewable and has a negative CO2 footprint. David Gudsell, Marketing Executive, Abodo
